Dear participants of TANMUN’26,

It is an absolute honor to welcome you as your Secretary General of TANMUN’26! My name is Işıl Arslan, and as I enter my junior year, I am truly grateful to have the privilege of sharing this journey with all of you. Together with an incredibly dedicated team, we have been working tirelessly to bring forward fresh and innovative changes that will make this conference a unique and unforgettable experience.

For me, Model United Nations has always been more than an extracurricular activity—it has been a passion, a community, and a source of endless inspiration. It has shaped the way I think, the way I communicate, and the way I see the world. MUN has taught me resilience, teamwork, and the power of diverse perspectives. Most importantly, it has given me lifelong friends and memories I will always cherish. TANMUN, in particular, holds a special place in my heart, as it was the very first conference I ever attended. Returning now as Secretary General feels like coming full circle, and it fills me with pride and excitement to welcome you all to the same stage where I once stood as a delegate.

This year, we have carefully designed an experience that balances professionalism with warmth, intellectual rigor with creativity, and diplomacy with fun. Our goal is not only to provide you with challenging debates and fruitful discussions but also to foster an environment where you can connect with people from all walks of life, build meaningful friendships, and step outside your comfort zone. Whether this is your first MUN conference or your tenth, TANMUN’26 will be a place for you to grow, to learn, and to shine.

As you prepare for TANMUN’26, I encourage you to bring not just your knowledge and research, but also your enthusiasm, your curiosity, and your individuality. The heart of this conference lies in the people who take part in it—each delegate, chair, and organizer contributes to making it the dynamic and inspiring event that it is.
